- How to become a host?
Create an account: To get started, create an account on our platform. You’ll receive a password via email, which you can use to log in and start listing your place. Alternatively, you can register using your Gmail account.
Fill out your information: Once you’re logged in, make sure you complete your profile information, such as your phone number and name.
Submit your listing: When you’re ready to list your place, simply click on the “Submit Listing” button located on the top right corner of the screen. Provide some details about your space, upload some photos, and set your availability.
Wait for approval: We do verify all our new hosts to ensure the security of our platform. The verification can either be an on-site or a virtual meeting depending on the individual circumstances. We strive to make this process as fast as possible, so you can start hosting right away!
You’re ready to start receiving reservations: Congratulations, you’re now a host on our platform! You can start receiving reservations from students all over the world and earn rental income on your own terms.

- From which countries do the students come from?
At our platform, we are proud to welcome students from all corners of the globe. Our community includes individuals from India, South America, and numerous other countries. While we do receive a slightly higher volume of students from the United States.
- How do I know if I am the right person to be a host?
Becoming a host can be an incredibly enriching and fulfilling experience, but it’s important to ensure that it’s the right fit for you. At Inn Family, we believe that the best hosts are those who are open-minded, welcoming, and excited about the opportunity to coexist with someone from a different culture. While it can be challenging at times, the rewards of hosting are immeasurable. If you are interested in becoming a host, we encourage you to consider your ability to be hospitable, flexible, and respectful of your guests’ culture and background.
- How does the commission work?
In order to provide an incredible service to our hosts, we need to charge a commission for each student placed through our platform.
Below you can see our rates for each reservation:
Service fee (VAT or other indirect taxes applicable in the location of the accommodation not included) Lease contract duration % over one monthly rent Up to 2 months 20% (*) More than 2 months and up to 6 35% More than 6 months and less than 12 55% 12 months or greater 80% (*) For stays of less than 30 days 20% of the total Contract Value
Minimum fee: 200 €
- What are the conditions to become an Inn Family host?
To become an Inn Family host, there are no strict requirements or regulations that must be met. Our hosts have the freedom to set their own conditions and requirements, and can arrange these directly with their guests. We believe that this approach provides our hosts with the flexibility to create a personalized and enjoyable rental experience for themselves and their guests.
